Sahara recaptures the spirit of Moroccan zellige, celebrating ceramics at their most alive. Its irregular edges evoke clay pieces released by hand from their moulds and retain the mark of a process in which imperfection creates identity. During firing, the glazes interact with the pale body, producing variations in intensity, depth and tone, as well as reflections that shift with the light. No surface is completely uniform: each wall is composed of unique nuances. Rather than imitating a tradition, Sahara reinterprets it through contemporary design and restores clay, glaze and fire to centre stage.
